Help Now Medical Alert is a division of Bay Area Vital Link, Inc. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. If anything here is unclear, call us and ask.

What we collect

If you visit the website: pages you view, how you arrived, and general location and device information, through Google Analytics and a Meta (Facebook) advertising pixel. This is used to understand which pages help people and which do not.

If you contact us or request a call: your name, phone number, email address, and anything you choose to tell us.

If you become a customer: your name, address, phone, email and billing details, and the information needed to keep you safe in an emergency. That last part includes your emergency contacts, and can include medical conditions, medications, allergies and how responders can get into your home.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who we share it with, and why

  • Our monitoring centers. The information on your monitoring record is held by the response center so that an operator can help you when you press your button.
  • Emergency responders. In an emergency we give responders what they need to reach and help you, which can include your address, entry instructions and medical details.
  • Shipping carriers, to deliver your equipment and to send you a return label.
  • Payment processing, handled by our payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
  • Service providers who run the website, email and analytics on our behalf.
  • When the law requires it, such as a valid legal request.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies for basic functionality, for Google Analytics, and for a Meta advertising pixel. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking cookies does not stop you using the site or ordering.

Your choices

  • Ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask for a copy.
  • Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep. Some records we must keep, for example billing history and records connected to emergency calls.
  • Tell us to stop sending marketing email. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and stopping it never affects your monitoring.

California residents have these rights under the CCPA. To use any of them, call (866) 743-7348 or email info@helpnow-medicalalert.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.

How we protect it

We limit who can see your information to the people who need it to provide your service, and we use reasonable technical and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will tell you as the law requires.

Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
